Iron Workers Memorial Day is a day to remember the 19 ironworkers who died in a bridge collapse on June 17, 1958, during the construction of the Second Narrows Bridge in Vancouver. The bridge was later renamed the “Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing” in their honour.
