CEU Education Representative Position

The Union is seeking a Regular, Full Time Education Representative (“ER”), in anticipation of an upcoming vacancy. Please refer to the linked Education Representative job description for a full outline of the role and required qualifications.

Summary of Work

At the direction of CEU’s Chief, Labour Relations & Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for many aspects of the Union’s internal education program, including the development of Union educational curriculum, and the preparation/coordination of Union conferences, Membership meetings, and Union events. The ER will also support the Executive Board in its Leadership and Engagement initiatives through various Union committees, initiatives and/or campaigns.

The ER will also be responsible, with the support and assistance of the CLRO, for all aspects of the CEU-WCB job classification process. This work includes representing the Union in discussion and negotiation with WCB regarding job classification matters.

The CEU Education Representative position is a unionized Staff Position governed by the Collective Agreement in place between the Staff Union (BCUWU) and CEU. As such, all employment terms related to this position are contained in the 2021-2025 CEU-BCUWU Collective Agreement.
